LXR Biotech, LLC is Hiring a Quality Supervisor Near Rochester, MI

Overview:

The Quality Supervisor will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate the quality program to ensure the organization's production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet specifications and regulations. Lastly, you will oversee our regulatory compliance, such as HACCP training, maintaining QMS, processing and approving formulation changes, label compliance, adherence to GMP's and SOP's.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communication among productions and management.
  • Conduct sampling and assign testing for in house and third party testing.
  • Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.
  • Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.
  • Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership.
  • Conducts plant inspections and issue reports to management.
  • Communicates food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Collaborates with graphics design to submit compliant product labels for approval.
  • Maintains and issues Batching Records and signs off on activities up to finished product release.
  • Acts as Document Control for SOPs, MMR, CAPA, RCA and COAs.
  • Orders PPE and laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Tends to other tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 111 for dietary supplements.
  • UV/Vis Spectrophotometry, HPLC, GC and MS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
  • Understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites and related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in the sciences, such as Biology, Chemistry of Food Science.
  • HACCP training and SQF, RCGS or other food quality experience preferred.
  • Quickbooks and Retail Link knowledge a plus, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
